Goddard College’s MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts Program in Port Townsend welcomes Obie and Bessie Award-winning theater artist, Laurie Carlos, as its Spring 2014 Guest Artist. Laurie Carlos has performed, written, acted, and choreographed seminal works in theater, dance, and contemporary performance for four decades. Her works have been published in numerous anthologies, and she has directed or choreographed premieres of work by diverse acclaimed artists such as Sharon Bridgforth, Carl Hancock Rux, Luis Alfaro, Urban Bush Women, and many others.
Justin Torres is the author of the novel We the Animals. His stories and essays have appeared in The New Yorker, Granta, the Guardian, Harper’s, Tin House and have been featured on NPR.
