The theme of the conference is, “Equity Starts with the Children.” Participants will examine the United Nations' Declaration of the Rights of the Child through Equity, Dual Language, and Linguistically and Culturally Responsive Teaching. Goddard students, alumni, and faculty will lead many of the Dual Language Conference sessions.
Topics include language, culture, dual language strategies, and bicultural development in working with Infants and Toddlers, Preschoolers, School-agers, College Teaching, and Cultural Expression.
Goddard will have an informational booth at the event and Goddard students, alumni, and faculty will be leading many of the conference sessions. If you attend, please introduce yourself to Seattle Program Site Coordinator, Dr. Sharon Cronin, and faculty member, Theressa Lenear - they are excited to meet you and discuss your educational goals!
This is an all-volunteer conference. Proceeds go to support students working on their BA and MA degrees in Education.
