Writers from the Goddard College MFA in Creative Writing program present the sixth in a series of literary events: an evening of literature and friendship with live readings of fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, and dramatic writing by students and alumni.
Featured Reader: Carol Cassella
Carol Casella’s bestselling books, Oxygen (2008) and Healer (2010), were Indie Next Picks as well as finalists for the Washington State Book Award in fiction. Her third novel, Gemini (2014), has received rave reviews from Publishers Weekly, Booklist, Library Journal, and The Seattle Times. In addition to authoring novels, Carol is a practicing physician, non-profit founder, medical board member, Wall Street Journal Expert Panelist and Associate Editor of Mind to Mind, the literary section of the journal Anesthesiology. She lives with her husband and two sets of twins on Bainbridge Island, Washington.
This is an all-ages event open to the public. There will be a cash bar. Admission is free. There will be a merch table setup where authors may sling their wares.
Parking is available at Hugo House. Street parking is free around Cal Anderson Park after 6 pm.
