Plainfield, VT Campus Computer Services

Goddard StudentGoddard College offers low residency BA, BFA, MA, and MFA programs in Individualized Studies, Education, Health Sciences, Psychology and Counseling, Sustainable Business, Creative Writing, and Interdisciplinary Arts.  Students and faculty attend two eight-day residencies a year on Goddard's historic Plainfield, Vermont campus.

 

 

Computer equipment is available on Goddard's Plainfield, Vermont campus in two locations for student use: the Community Center Computer Lab and the Eliot Pratt Computer Lab. 

 

Available computer equipment includes:

  • PCs running Windows 2000 and XP with Office 2000 and 2003 (including Word and PowerPoint)
  • iMacs
  • eMacs
  • G4s running OS X with Office X
  • Internet access

Many students choose to bring their own laptop computers with them,  so they have greater flexibility in planning their time during the week. 

 

Each dorm room is equipped with an Ethernet port, which provides high-speed access to the Internet via the college's T1 line. Rooms are also equipped with analog phone lines, allowing students to use dial-up access if their computer is not equipped with a network adapter.
