Port Townsend Residency Office

Fort Worden Theatre Goddard College offers low residency MFA programs in Creative Writing, and Interdisciplinary Arts at its Port Townsend, Washington residency site. Students and faculty attend two eight-day residencies a year on Goddard's Port Townsend Residency Site, located at the Fort Worden State Park Conference Center, in Port Townsend, WA.

The Port Townsend Residency Office is the operational hub of the Port Townsend residencies. The Port Townsend Campus Director and Operations Assistant staff the office year-round. During residencies they are joined by a Student Affairs Coordinator, Information Resources and Technology Librarian, and Residency Assistants. They support students on-site throughout the residency and work in conjunction with Goddard's Plainfield campus.

The Port Townsend Residency Office's support includes: housing assignments, Check-in and Check-out, working to serve special dietary needs, making program materials and handouts available, providing phone access to Goddard staff on the Plainfield campus, posting schedule changes, and assisting students and faculty, including help with area resources, facilities needs, and lost room keys. Questions and issues can be brought to the Residency Office for assistance or referral to the appropriate college office or community resource.
