Student AffairsWelcome to Student Affairs at Goddard. Every semester more than six hundred and fifty students from diverse backgrounds, orientations, identities and abilities come together on campus to grow, learn and build community. The success of Goddard residencies is based in congruent academic and community values and practices. As experience illustrates, this is an exciting, powerful, even transformative experience that establishes an inclusive, safe and enriching community for all. Goddard's community life is the larger container that facilitates the intellectual and transformative work of faculty and students.
The Student Affairs Office handles community life during residencies, works with the Student Council, facilitates campus community activities, and assists with students' concerns and needs over the course of the academic year.
Goddard's Student Council is a working group of elected student representatives committed to advocacy of student voice and to the collaboration between students and the Goddard community-at-large. The Student Council is composed of student representatives from each of the academic programs. Programs with more than 100 students have two seats on Student Council; programs with fewer than 100 students have one seat. Student Council Representatives are elected by a vote of students in their program and serve one-year terms. For more information about the Student Council, contact the Student Affairs Office.
