"Landscape into Abstraction II: The Same, Only Different…” is the second installment of a photography exhibit by MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts graduate Richard Ambelang (MFAIA '12).
This exhibition explores the complex and intriguing relationship between landscape and abstraction in photography. The themes are the same as the first installment of "Landscape and Abstraction," debuted last spring, but explored in perhaps more eclectic ways. A 1977 slide has been reprinted to give historical perspective to work from the 2000s. A group of nine photographs, hung together on one wall, reflect the artist's abiding interest in the inland Pacific Northwest.
All framed prints are for sale and price/contact information is provided at the gallery space.
The exhibit can be viewed during regular library hours, M-F, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
