Workshop: Chickens, Perennials, and Solar and Fireless Cooking

This workshop, with faculty member Bethe Hagens, is a smorgasbord of information on how one small family integrates home-made and off-the shelf solar/fireless cooking equipment; the joys, annoyances, and housing for four laying hens; and low-impact, low-labor composting, raised bed and swale “forest gardening” experiments for a small yard. We'll focus on Zones 3-5 (New England) and edible perennial fruits, vegetables, medicinals, and flowers.
